Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use apply to your use of the website operated by Multiunit, a company based in Ontario, Canada (“Multiunit”, “we”, “us”, “our”), including member accounts, member resources, the client portal and the chat assistant (together, the “site”).
By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle personal information and form part of these terms.
Who may use the site
You may use the site if you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use the site on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.
Member accounts
Some content and features are available only to members. If you create a member account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current information and keep it up to date
- Keep your password secure and not share it
- Use the account yourself. Each account is for one person
- Tell us promptly through the Contact page if you believe your account has been used without your permission
You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms, used to misuse the site, or that we reasonably believe has been compromised. Where appropriate, we will tell you why.
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
Client portal
The client portal is available only to authorized users of organizations that have a services agreement with Multiunit. Your use of the client portal is governed by these terms and by your organization’s services agreement. If these terms and the services agreement conflict, the services agreement prevails.
Your organization is responsible for deciding who may access the portal on its behalf and for telling us when a user’s access should end.
Content is general information
Articles, resources, examples and other content on the site are general information about business intelligence, CRM and related topics for real estate firms. They are not legal, financial, tax, appraisal or real estate brokerage advice, and they do not take account of your particular circumstances. Before acting on anything on the site, obtain advice from a qualified professional.
Illustrative data
Examples, sample reports, dashboards and data shown on the site are fictional and for illustration only. They do not describe any real person, firm, property or result.
AI assistant
The site offers a chat assistant powered by an AI model. When you use it, you acknowledge that:
- Responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date
- Responses are not professional advice of any kind and do not replace the judgment of a qualified professional
- Responses do not create any agreement, offer, commitment or relationship between you and Multiunit
- A person on the Multiunit team may read the conversation and reply
Do not enter confidential or sensitive information into the chat, including information about other people, financial account details, government identification numbers or health information. Our Privacy Policy explains how chat messages are handled.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site in any way that is unlawful, or to help anyone else do so
- Scrape, crawl or use automated means to collect content or data from the site, except as permitted by standard search engine indexing
- Interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers or other users’ accounts
- Upload or transmit malware, viruses or other harmful code
- Reverse engineer, extract or repackage member resources for resale or redistribution
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization
- Use the site to send unsolicited commercial messages
Intellectual property
The site and its content, including text, resources, templates, designs, graphics and software, are owned by Multiunit or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Except as set out below, you may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from them without our written permission.
Licence for member resources
If you are a member, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download member resources and use and adapt them inside your own organization, for its internal business purposes.
You may not sell, resell, sublicense, republish or distribute member resources, or adapted versions of them, outside your organization, whether for payment or free of charge.
Links to third-party sites
The site may link to websites and services operated by others. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, policies or practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, Multiunit makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the site, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Multiunit and its directors, officers, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunity, arising from or related to your use of the site, the content on it or the chat assistant, even if we have been told such damages are possible.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. For clients, the services agreement governs liability for the services it covers.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Multiunit and its directors, officers, employees and contractors from claims, losses, liabilities and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.
Termination
We may suspend or end your access to all or part of the site at any time if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the site or a feature. You may stop using the site at any time. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, including intellectual property, no warranty, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law, continue to apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario. You agree that the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or the site, subject to any rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to tell you. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
